Responsibilities

Source and purchase rough lumber, milled wood products, and finishes

Procure sundry manufacturing and shipping supplies

Order supplies for our samples department

Manage inventory levels for lumber, milled goods, and finishes so orders ship accurately and on time

Own supplier relationships—care for current partners and discover, evaluate, and onboard new vendors

Provide accurate pricing and lead times to our team of Production Coordinators as needed

Issue clean, accurate POs; align with vendors on production lead times and delivery schedules

Plan and coordinate freight for inbound and vendor-to-vendor shipments, including LTL and FTL

Match receipts and vendor invoices to POs to confirm quantities and pricing

Create and follow Quality Control procedures to ensure clear communication and correct ordering

Troubleshoot and resolve QC and billing issues with vendors

Partner with the COO on pricing updates and ordering process changes to protect margins

Maintain accurate, up-to-date paper and digital documentation for all orders

Work with the lumber department to ensure accurate receiving, storage, and inventory records
