Client Services Support Specialist

Responsibilities
Provide technical and user support in a help desk setting for a moderately complex computing environment
Provide a broad range of user support services including PC support, training, troubleshooting and network support
Assist the University community and the department of Student Life with exemplary support through the utilization and promotion of industry standard tools
Organize, research, and test innovative technologies and solutions
Documentation of processes
Tracking of inventory
Writing reports
Work with our stakeholders to provide hardware and software support as well as training for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, AV equipment, IOT devices, and a variety of other endpoints
Work closely with other IT professionals including networking, security, and endpoint management to provide consultations and recommendations from the product and service catalog maintained by Information Technology Services for Student Life
May require on – call, after hours work
Qualification
Required
Relevant coursework, or specialized training beyond high school; equivalent experience considered
Two years of experience with desktop and/or helpdesk support
Thorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft Windows and/or Apple macOS operating systems, software application administration, and hardware
Experience with direct customer support face-to-face and/or remotely
Strong communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to work cooperatively and autonomously on tasks and projects
Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities and duties
Strong organizational skills
Preferred
Two years of post-secondary education preferred; or equivalent experience
Experience with technology research and development and procurement
Experience with managing vendor interactions
Nationally recognized IT certifications
