Responsibilities
Support the mechanical design, development and analyses for the cabinets and electronics design group across various SPY-7 and Aegis programs
Apply emerging technical expertise in mechanical engineering and have applicable knowledge of other related disciplines
Support the successful design and analyses of cabinet assemblies to achieve major organizational objectives
Represent the organization as a technical contact on contracts and projects while coordinating with more senior internal or external personnel on significant technical matters
Perform overall design and structural and thermal analyses of electronic cabinet assemblies, including the selection and use of Commercial Off the Shelf components, custom hardware design, and setting requirements for mechanical structures
Qualification
Required
Experience in mechanical design, development and analyses for cabinets and electronics design
Knowledge of mechanical engineering and related disciplines
Ability to support design and analyses of cabinet assemblies
Experience with overall design and structural and thermal analyses of electronic cabinet assemblies
Experience in selection and use of Commercial Off the Shelf components
Experience in custom hardware design
Ability to set requirements for mechanical structures
Ability to represent the organization as a technical contact on contracts and projects
Ability to coordinate with senior internal or external personnel on significant technical matters
Preferred
Masters Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
