Compunnel Inc. is seeking a creative and skilled Video Editor II to produce high-quality video content tailored for social media platforms. This role involves managing the end-to-end production cycle and ensuring that all video assets are engaging and optimized for platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
Responsibilities
Video Editing & Production
Execute end-to-end editing for short-form and long-form video, animations, and dynamic visual assets
Transform raw footage, graphics, and audio into engaging content aligned with creative briefs and platform best practices
Apply advanced editing techniques, color correction, sound design, motion graphics, and visual effects
Collaborate with the Social Content Production Manager and Strategy Manager during concept development and post-production
Brand Adherence & Optimization
Ensure all video content adheres to brand guidelines and platform-specific standards
Optimize video files for social platforms (aspect ratios, file sizes, captions, technical specifications)
Incorporate approved music, voiceovers, and sound effects to enhance viewer experience
Asset Management & Workflow
Organize and maintain libraries of raw media, project files, approved music, and final masters
Follow established workflows and timelines to meet content calendar deadlines
Suggest workflow optimizations to improve efficiency and quality
Collaboration & Innovation
Participate in creative discussions, contributing innovative ideas for video content and editing approaches
Stay current with industry trends, editing software advancements, and social media best practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
3+ years of professional video editing experience with a portfolio showcasing social media content
Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent software (must supply own software and laptop)
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their unique video requirements; Paid Media experience a plus
Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, pacing, and sound
Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to take direction and provide constructive input
Must submit a creative portfolio showcasing social media video content examples, demonstrating editing skills, creativity, and platform-specific optimization
Preferred
Familiarity with motion graphics and design tools (Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva) preferred
Experience with project management tools (Monday.com, Airtable, Wrike) preferred
Experience assisting with or participating in content shoots is a plus
Familiarity with the beauty/professional beauty industry is a plus
