Responsibilities
Lead and oversee all software engineering functions, including application development, platform engineering, and shared services
Translate product and business strategy into executable engineering roadmaps, delivery plans, and resourcing models
Partner closely with Product, Architecture, and Technology leadership to ensure alignment between product vision and technical execution
Establish and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and governance across development lifecycles
Drive delivery excellence through effective planning, prioritization, and execution of complex, multi-team initiatives
Ensure system scalability, reliability, performance, and security across all software platforms
Manage technical debt, platform modernization efforts, and long-term architectural evolution
Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering leadership and teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Oversee engineering budgets, vendor relationships, and third-party development partners
Identify and mitigate technical and delivery risks while supporting rapid business growth
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
12+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, including senior leadership responsibility
Proven experience leading large-scale engineering organizations and complex software platforms
Strong background in modern software architectures, cloud-native development, and agile methodologies
Demonstrated ability to partner with product and executive leadership to drive business outcomes
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Preferred
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business (MBA)
Prior experience as a VP of Software Engineering, VP of Engineering, or equivalent role
Experience scaling engineering organizations in high-growth, SaaS, or platform-based environments
Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, security, and platform reliability practices
Track record of leading platform modernization or large-scale digital transformation initiatives
