Responsibilities

Integrates customer needs with business competencies to drive accelerated performance improvement
Work with Team members to integrate change management and communication activities into the overall project plan to secure effective and lasting adoption
Coordinate with end-to-end project cross-divisional team, sponsors, end users/customers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project and understand the needs of customers
Lead organizational change management and communication activities related to all aspects of systems and process deployment
Responsible for processes, and systems associated with the Change Management (CM) MOS design, execution, and maturity
Fosters effective working relationships and systems across business segments to ensure business-wide focus, consistency, and accountability
Manages relationships with functional counterparts in industry and the parent corporation to leverage contemporary Lean / Six Sigma / Change Management / Total User Experience (TX) and related systems, processes, and tools
Executes strategic and tactical Lean / Six Sigma improvement activities across the business enterprise
Completes gap analysis assessments; drives appropriate industry best practices throughout the business
Enables the appropriate development of technical and non-technical staff in continuous improvement processes and tools, including all Lean / Six Sigma methodologies and philosophies
Assures individual project accomplishments and overall work unit effectiveness are achieved relative to committed objectives. Provides leadership for staff development and holds them accountable to meet personal and business objectives
May lead KCNSC or NSE-wide programs and activities to standardize and execute best business processes
May own, develop, and provide leadership for execution of business training and development across the organization and, potentially, across elements of the NSE
Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. Takes actions necessary to "stop" work when an unsafe condition or action
Directly supervises employees and performs other managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, or business-related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience in managing projects and/or programs in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related activities
Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
United States Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
Demonstrated knowledge and application of Change/Transition Mgmt, User/Customer Experience (UX) / Lean / Six Sigma methodologies
Project or program management processes, principles, and architecture with progressive history of responsibility
Integration of multiple, complex business processes
Ability to interpret, negotiate and capture customer requirements
Proven excellence in effective communication, interactive presentations, and negotiation skills
Proven ability to mentor, coach, and lead project management personnel and other staff in a matrixed management environment

Change / Transition Management Certifications
BB/Lean Expert/User Experience (UXC)/PMI Certification
Masters / Advance Degree in Engineering or Business-related field
