Implementation Technical Lead
PeriGen is a leading innovator in perinatal software solutions, seeking an Implementation Technical Lead to oversee the implementation and maintenance of their obstetrical software systems in a healthcare setting. The role involves technical assessment, design, configuration, and support of PeriGen's applications, while ensuring client satisfaction and providing training to technical users.
Responsibilities
Functions as a recognized technical subject matter expert for PeriGen’s obstetrical software with in-depth technical knowledge of server, workstation, database, network and interface requirements
Leads the technical site assessment, design, configuration, system testing, implementation and upgrade of PeriGen’s OB products and services for clients
Installs and configures PeriGen’s applications on hospital servers and workstations
Configures and installs HL7 and other desired interfaces between PeriGen and client systems
Assists in finding technical and workflow solutions
Establishes client relationships with technical users to promote and assure technical user satisfaction
Trains client representatives on the structure and maintenance of PeriGen’s systems
Provides customer support of PeriGen’s application in client/server environment
Engages in incident troubleshooting, resolution and root cause analysis
Participates in rotating on-call schedule, as Tier II support
Maintain a positive and professional relationship with employees, clients, and all community and business contacts
Communicate in a clear and concise manner. Ability to collaborate with others
Utilize time management and problem-solving skills to efficiently perform job duties
Maintain an acceptable and professional personal appearance
Maintain confidentiality of private business matters and HIPAA-protected information
Complete other duties as assigned, to meet ongoing needs of the company
Must be able to travel to customer sites, sometimes on short notice, utilizing major means of general public transportation, including airlines, trains, and cars. Must be able to travel approximately 25% of the time, including trips to areas in different time zones
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
3-5 years' experience with Microsoft Network environment, preferably in healthcare IT or medical device industry
Proficiency and working knowledge of network monitoring experience and utilization of network analysis tools
Experience troubleshooting Windows 2016/2019/2022 environment, including Active Directory
HL7 interfacing protocol
SQL query language, SQL server 2016/2019/2022
Experience with SQL clusters and high availability groups
Experience with Citrix XenApp
Experience with Azure AD and Azure Virtual Infrastructure
Experience with EMRs or fetal monitoring systems or similar hospital-based systems
MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc
Experience with Powershell scripting and troubleshooting
Demonstrate critical thinking with ability to analyze, troubleshoot and support complex clinical software systems including server and workstation installation, network and system verification in a Microsoft environment, and interface adjustment and integration issues
Design and collaborate with clients to ensure application integrity and compliance with client policies and procedures related to network and system architecture
To include Systems design with DB clusters, cloud networking, cloud hosted infrastructure, VPN and mobile messaging
Possess excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with ability to initiate insightful and interactive dialogue to obtain in-depth client feedback for product and service improvement opportunities
Participate in cross-functional teams across the company to define client solutions; enjoy 'rolling up the sleeves' to provide hands-on contributions
Capable of independent decision-making to meet the needs of the position, yet willing and able to collaborate with other team members to manage projects to defined standards and performance metrics
A self-starter who assumes responsibility for completing projects, programs and technical implementations while keeping senior management aware of issues, challenges and changes to workflow and project timelines, as appropriate
Ability to anticipate problems, identify potential solutions, communicate the options and implement the recommended solution
Strong customer service orientation, interacting with both internal and external customers
Proven organizational and time management skills

Preferred
Systems network engineer with healthcare experience preferred
MSCE desirable
