Account Manager - Industrial Additives

They are seeking an Account Manager for their Lubricant Additives Business to manage and grow sales at key customers and distributors, develop account plans, and maintain customer relationships. Responsibilities

Manage and grow sales at key customers and distributors for LANXESS Lubricants Additive Business (LAB) with account and budget responsibility
Develop and maintain key account plans while keeping CRM current
Maintain regional and distributor accounts for LANXESS LAB, with full account and budget responsibility for the Southeast region of the U.S
Sell value vs. competitive offers to gain customer commitments
Develop product/service improvements for new market opportunities by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors and customer offerings
Trade show participation-AFPM, ILMA, STLE and NLGI as assigned by management

Required

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or a closely related field
5-10 years of experience in the chemical industry with a preference in the lubricant additives or asphalt market
Previous distribution management experience
Successful track record of qualifying prospects, selling value and closing targets with experience in the chemical industry
Excellent people management, influencing, relationship, team building and conflict management skills
Ability to think strategically and anticipate individuals' motivations and reactions
Ability to manage complexity to favorable outcomes
Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Territory consists of the Southeast region of the U.S. Ideal candidate should reside in that general area

Preferred

MBA or advanced technical degree
