Escort/Facility Maintenance Intern
Penn State University is seeking a Facility Maintenance Intern to assist trades in completing tasks and overseeing contractors. The role involves ensuring a safe work environment, maintaining visitor logs, and performing various facility maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities
Provide ARL supervision and oversight of visitors, design professionals, and contractors
Perform tasks associated with renovations, maintenance, and/or specialized facility services
Act as a customer safety representative on various work sites; ensuring a safe work environment is realized for employees and visitors
Maintain knowledge of ARL Security practices and procedures
Serve as a work site liaison with ARL Facilities and Security to ensure visitor logs are kept current
Ensure visitor logs accurately reflect contractors performing maintenance, renovations, or direct services to ARL buildings, infrastructure, grounds and/or equipment
Qualification
Required
Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills
Ability to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment); including hard hat, high visibility vest, and safety glasses for an 8 hour shift
Must be a U.S. citizen to apply
Employment with the ARL will require successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
All positions at ARL require candidates to possess the ability to obtain a government security clearance
