Responsibilities
Collaborate and communicate professionally with internal and cross-functional teams
Work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams, including Front-End Web Developers, to create functional and engaging product experiences
Proficiently communicate design direction, principles, and specifications
Develop processes and approaches to solving design problems, employing both industry best practices and established internal solutions
Create experience maps, user scenarios, and user flows
Design user experiences from low-fidelity sketches to high-fidelity prototypes
Create rapid prototypes to validate design concepts
Provide constructive feedback to other designers on the team
Present work effectively to cross-functional teams and leadership
Execute design practices within an Agile software development framework
Collaborate with Project Owners and Business Analysts to build and maintain a product backlog
Work closely with partners on the crafting of requirements and user stories
Understand and consider business goals in design decisions and solutions
Qualification
Required
5-7+ years of hands-on experience designing product experiences or in general UX design
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience
Previous experience working on a cross-functional product team in an Agile environment
Experience contributing in a heavily cross-functional setting
A seasoned communicator and problem-solver who can build strong relationships and contribute confidently to projects with limited guidance
Demonstrated experience leading parts of larger projects collaboratively or leading smaller projects independently
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly share decision-making rationale, document decisions, and present authoritatively
Possesses strong relationships with peers and stakeholders, with the ability to influence, manage relationships effectively, and negotiate requirements based on user or business needs
Serves as a professional standard for more junior contributors; dependable, consistent, and able to react effectively in a remote environment
Actively participates in all team activities, ceremonies, and working sessions, and contributes to strategic thought work
Takes personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, achieving results with little oversight
Preferred
Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front-end code frameworks
Experience designing native mobile applications
Experience in ecommerce
Working knowledge of design research methodologies
Working knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS
