Synapse ITS is seeking a Vendor Billing & Reconciliation Analyst who excels in maintaining clean vendor ledgers. The role involves ensuring invoice accuracy, verifying tax applications, processing invoices, and reconciling vendor accounts while providing support to the accounting department and other operational tasks.

Responsibilities

Invoice accuracy checks: compare purchase orders, prices, terms, and charges; apply the right GL and department codes; confirm approval documentation is in place

Sales & use tax: verify the correct tax is applied and assist with targeted research when questions arise

ERP processing: enter invoices daily with speed and precision

Vendor communication: provide timely updates on payment status and resolve issues professionally

On-time disbursements: help ensure invoices are paid accurately and according to schedule

Statement reconciliation: balance vendor accounts monthly and clear variances

Corporate card posting: record daily transactions with proper GL/department coding and required approvals

Team support: assist the accounting department with projects and overflow tasks as needed

Operational flexibility: back up customer service/order entry when coverage is needed

Administrative support: provide clerical and general office assistance

Other duties: take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management

Required

Associate degree in accounting, finance, or related field with 2+ years' experience; OR a Bachelor's in accounting, finance, or related field

Strong interpersonal, analytical, follow-up, and problem-solving skills; top-tier attention to detail; and the ability to produce actionable reporting from data

Excellent organization and the stamina to manage multiple priorities and a high workload against deadlines

Clear written and verbal communication

Understanding of payments, accounting, and budgeting; familiarity with modern office practices

Comfort with computers and electronic data processing; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid Microsoft Office skills
