Responsibilities

Configure, enhance, and automate OTM functionalities, including agents, workflows, statuses, route groups, and event triggers

Develop complex PL/SQL objects—stored procedures, functions, triggers, and queries—for custom logic and high-volume data processing

Design and implement robust integrations between OTM and external systems using web services, XML, and middleware platforms

Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve OTM application and server performance issues through log analysis and performance tuning

Conduct root cause analysis to diagnose and resolve complex system issues such as agent delays, deadlocks, and thread management problems

Perform database and SQL tuning, including table optimization and index management, to ensure system efficiency

Collaborate with infrastructure teams, system administrators, and DBAs on capacity planning, load balancing, patching, and upgrade activities

Translate business requirements into technical solutions for fleet management, including driver management, equipment tracking, and dispatching workflows

Develop and support advanced reporting and analytics using BI Publisher and Tableau

Lead fit-gap analysis and design solutions that maximize out-of-the-box functionality with minimal customization

Required

Minimum of 7 years of hands-on development and configuration experience with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM)

Expert-level knowledge of the OTM data model, with deep familiarity with fleet-specific tables and operational workflows

Proven proficiency in OTM configuration and automation (agents, workflow logic, event management)

Advanced skills in PL/SQL development, debugging, and query optimization for transactional systems

Strong experience in OTM server performance tuning, environment optimization, and stability management

Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve technical issues like deadlocks, agent execution delays, and thread contention

Solid understanding of transportation management concepts, including truckload operations, fleet optimization, and compliance (e.g., HOS, ELD)

A proven problem-solving mindset with the ability to tackle complex application and infrastructure challenges

Preferred

Experience with OTM Cloud migration and familiarity with the OTM Cloud roadmap

Direct experience with Fleet Management modules within OTM

Prior experience in a large-scale, asset-based transportation or logistics environment
