Our client, Thor, Inc, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a Laboratory Information System (LIS) implementation for a large, high-volume pathology laboratory. The role involves managing all phases of the LIS implementation, ensuring project success while coordinating with various stakeholders in a complex clinical environment.

Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end implementation of a new Laboratory Information System (LIS)
Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and dependencies
Coordinate activities across laboratory operations, pathology, IT, hospital partners, and vendors
Serve as the primary liaison between the laboratory, IT teams, and LIS vendor(s)
Manage risks, issues, and change requests to ensure project success
Oversee system configuration, interfaces, data migration, testing, training, and go-live
Ensure minimal disruption to laboratory operations in a 24/7 clinical environment
Support regulatory and compliance requirements (e.g., CAP, CLIA, HIPAA)
Provide regular project status updates and reporting to laboratory leadership
Qualification
Required
Proven experience managing LIS implementation projects
Strong project management skills across full project lifecycles
Experience working in complex, multi-site healthcare organizations
Excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred
Experience with pathology workflows and laboratory systems is a strong plus, but not a must
Experience with Orchard Harvest LIS or Orchard-to-new-LIS migrations is a plus, but not a must
Experience supporting laboratories serving hospital systems and large physician networks is a plus, but not a must
