Responsibilities
Own and grow a complete product category, driving profitable expansion through successful new product introductions and portfolio evolution
Lead end-to-end product development, from concept generation through mass production, while partnering with senior leadership to define category roadmaps
Integrate skincare science, dermatological insights, safety standards, and responsible claims considerations into product strategy and execution
Maintain full accountability for project outcomes, timelines, reporting, and team deliverables
Lead, mentor, and develop team members across experience levels, fostering strong performance, accountability, and career growth
Act as a people leader skilled in resource planning, conflict navigation, and coaching teams working on skincare, wearable, or device-adjacent technologies
Identify emerging consumer trends across skincare science, wellness technology, and beauty innovation to inform future product opportunities
Define and champion user-centered performance, safety, and experience targets for engineers, designers, and commercial teams
Ensure products meet high standards for skin compatibility, usability, efficacy, and human-factors considerations
Partner with consumer insights teams to design and interpret research, testing, and validation efforts, including clinical studies, dermatologist-led evaluations, and claims substantiation
Collaborate with quality and testing organizations to establish robust performance and safety protocols, including skin-contact, thermal, light-based, and biological safety considerations
Guide risk management approaches informed by human factors and relevant industry standards where applicable
Oversee cost structures and margin targets, working closely with supply chain and sourcing teams, including specialized components and skin-safe materials
Provide direction on go-to-market materials, ensuring consumer-facing content, instructions, and claims are clear, compelling, and compliant
Support post-launch success by guiding the development of troubleshooting tools, FAQs, and support content tailored to skincare usage and safety considerations
Serve as the internal subject-matter expert for skincare and beauty-tech products, supporting cross-functional teams with scientific, regulatory, and consumer insights
Lead high-impact cross-functional initiatives that expand the organization’s capabilities in emerging categories such as skincare technology, wellness devices, and adjacent regulated platforms
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in product development, product management, marketing, or related disciplines within consumer products
5+ years leading product development initiatives, with strong preference for experience in skincare, beauty-tech, dermatology-related devices, or regulated-adjacent consumer technologies
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, engineering, management, or a related field
Proven experience hiring, managing, and developing teams across multiple experience levels
Demonstrated success leading teams working on safety-critical, clinically evaluated, or compliance-sensitive products
Strong consumer-first mindset with deep appreciation for skin health, safety, and efficacy considerations
Ability to communicate priorities effectively with senior leadership and navigate complex stakeholder environments
Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering, design, clinical, regulatory, and commercial partners
Strong project management capabilities, balancing multiple initiatives with overlapping technical, testing, and validation timelines
Curiosity and commitment to staying current on skincare science, beauty-tech innovation, and evolving regulatory landscapes
Comfort operating in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities, transparency, and continuous learning
