Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks using Playwright (TypeScript/JavaScript)
Create robust, maintainable, and reusable test scripts for web applications
Integrate Playwright tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, etc.)
Analyze and resolve flaky tests , improve test stability and execution time
Implement best practices such as Page Object Model (POM) , fixtures, and test isolation
Perform cross-browser testing (Chromium, Firefox, WebKit)
Collaborate with developers and product teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria
Generate and maintain test reports (Playwright HTML, Allure, or custom reporting)
Support test data management, environment setup, and authentication strategies
Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentoring to QA team members
Assist with migration from other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) to Playwright
Qualification
Required
Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
Proficiency in TypeScript and/or JavaScript
Experience with UI test automation for modern web applications (React, Angular, Vue, etc.)
Solid understanding of testing principles, QA processes, and SDLC
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
Ability to debug test failures and analyze application issues
Strong communication and collaboration skills
4+ years in test automation / QA engineering
2+ years of hands-on experience with Playwright (or strong Playwright expertise)
Preferred
Experience with API testing (REST, GraphQL)
Knowledge of Docker and containerized test execution
Experience with cloud-based testing platforms
Performance or accessibility testing experience
Previous consulting or client-facing experience
