Business Development Executive
9/8 Central is an EMMY award-winning video production company in Greenville, SC, seeking a Business Development Executive to join their team. The role focuses on customer acquisition and revenue generation while also participating in marketing efforts to promote the company's services.
Responsibilities
Leads end-to-end new customer acquisition, including hunting, qualifying, advancing opportunities through the sales process, and closing contracted business. Responsible for revenue generation from first contact to signed agreement
Proactively seeking out networking opportunities to attend
Attending events to find new prospects and bring awareness to 9/8 Central
Coordinating networking opportunities/events to host in our studio
Meeting prospects at their facilities, for lunch, dinner, or coffee
Giving tours of our facilities
Prospecting, including cold calls and emails
Warming up leads to either hand off to Will or close alongside Will
Maintaining our CRM (Hubspot) and keeping it up to date
Maintaining knowledge of our packages and services
Prepare and send contracts
Participating in filming promotional videos
Suggesting content for webpages or other materials to assist in sales
Qualification
Required
You're the definition of a people-person
You have no reservations about approaching new faces, going into the deep end in networking events, and striking up conversations with strangers
You love to follow systems
Sales is math: do the right steps in order to the right number of people and success will follow. You're good at following a winning strategy every freakin' day once you've found it
Strong client service skills
This is not a role where you never interact with a prospect once they sign the dotted line. You should be interested in maintaining that relationship through periodic check-ins
Critical thinking and fearlessness to take initiative
Ideas for new packages? Cool ways to market them? Wondering if you should do this thing for that client? You're moving forward and more of an 'ask for forgiveness, not permission' type
High sense of urgency and high motivation
It's important to strike while the iron is hot. You're promptly responding to inquiries; whether it's texts, phone calls, emails, fax, WUPHF...however someone messages us, you're on it
