Responsibilities
Select and interpret data, on a map-based platform such as ESRI/Google Earth
Performs various field inspections of streetlight overhead/underground construction for compliance and to customer standards
Negotiates with prospective, residential, and commercial customers if needed on behalf of client if requested
Participates in meeting or group discussions; provides advice and direction on products and/or services
Prepares proposals, presentations, work unit policies/procedures as needed. Facilitates group discussions and participates in employee training
Understand streetlight standards and specifications of our client’s needs to develop the appropriate design and photometric analysis solution(s)
Appropriate utilization of AGi32 software if required
Conduct research, appropriate field visits and support scoping of jobs
Other duties as assigned by Project Manager
Qualification
Required
High School diploma and/or equivalent with satisfactory completion of high school courses in any three of the following: drafting/CAD, basic electricity, physics, and mathematics which includes geometry or fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry or technical mathematics
Minimum two (2) years of experience in electrical utility planning role if the above-mentioned education requirements cannot be matched or exceeded
Preferred
Associates degree in technical or design field preferred
Experience performing streetlighting design and photometric analysis preferred
Experience with AutoCAD and Civil3D; experience with ESRI, Arc-GIS, and MicroStation preferred
Experience with AGi32 software is preferred
Experience with all phases of engineering document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications preferred
