The Contract Specialist will develop, review, negotiate, and manage contractual agreements while overseeing the entire contract lifecycle to ensure compliance with legal requirements and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

Contract Drafting & Review: Prepare, review, and edit contracts, task orders, and related documents, ensuring legal soundness and clarity
Procurement Support: Facilitate bidding processes (RFPs, IFBs), assemble bid packages, and evaluate proposals
Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors, clients, and partners
Lifecycle Management: Administer contracts, track performance, manage amendments, renewals, and closeouts
Compliance & Risk: Ensure all contracts meet legal, insurance, and regulatory standards; identify and mitigate risks
Documentation: Maintain contract logs, filing systems, and version control
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with project managers, legal, and management to fulfill obligations and resolve issues

Required

5+ years of experience in contract and project management
Demonstrated understanding of contract regulations and/or contract law
Demonstrated understanding of project management methodologies
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and contracts simultaneously
Proficiency with contract management software and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Trello) and Microsoft Office Suite
Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
Financial acumen and risk management capabilities
Bachelors degree in business administration or related field

Preferred

Masters preferred
Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex situations and identify solutions
Experience in managing both client-facing and internal contracts
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
