Responsibilities

Perform various pieces of the payroll process to ensure payroll is completed efficiently accurately within the given timeframe
Assist managers with timecard issues prior to loading time to ensure that all associates paid correctly and timely
Process wage garnishments, child support orders, and bankruptcy deductions in compliance with legal requirements, ensuring accurate calculation and timely remittance of garnishments to the appropriate agencies
Process final paychecks in accordance with federal and state regulations, ensuring compliance with state-mandated payout rules
Identify, document, and manage overpayments incompliance with wage laws, including employee notification and repayment agreements
Propose changes that will enhance the overall efficiency of the timekeeping process
Respond to all payroll questions timely using the payroll ticketing system (Zendesk)
Ensures accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, company deductions, and tax
Ensures proper reporting and Prepares statistical reports as needed
Responsible for organization of the payroll inbox
Process and audit all bonus related information
Assess system functionality and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, internal controls, and service to end users
Provide day to day payroll systems support and help troubleshoot any related issues
Calculate proper paycheck earnings, deductions, accruals, and taxes for various states
Respond to all 3rd party verification of employment requests

Required

Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related Experience may substitute for education
Two years Payroll experience
Experience with multi-state payroll
Independent judgment and specialized knowledge of wage laws and compliance to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations

May occasionally be required to lift or carry items such as files or office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds

Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
Employment with RPM Living is contingent upon successful completion of a background check as local and federal state requires, and possession of a valid driver's license

Preferred

One year Property Management experience preferred but not required
