Responsibilities
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements for application sustainment, maintenance, and enhancements
Analyze and prioritize requirements to ensure they align with project goals and federal government regulations
Work closely with development and design teams to translate business requirements into user stories that meet the need of the end users
Facilitate effective communication between project stakeholders, end users, product owners, and the program team
Prepare regular status reports and presentations to keep stakeholders informed about backlog grooming activities, project progress, and work forecasting
Conduct upfront analysis of use cases to better understand concerns and expectations so to inform POs of application enhancement opportunities
Establish baseline performance measures to evaluate impact of change efforts
Define, evaluate, and inform continuous process improvement to ensure seamless transition of an idea throughout its journey to becoming an actionable initiative to enhance program operations
Qualification
Required
At least 3-5 years experience working as a business analyst
At least 3-5 years experience working in natural hazard risk assessment and mitigation, National Flood Insurance Program, and resilience space
At least 3-5 years experience using written communication skills, change management techniques and facilitating stakeholder meetings
Preferred
Experience working with or for federal agency, specifically FEMA
Experience working with application lifecycle management and tracking tools, such as Jira
Experience working in an agile environment
Experience with program evaluation methodologies
