Responsibilities
Operate and manage a 3D depth sensing and characterization lab for AR/VR components (cameras, sensors, projectors, optics)
Design and execute test plans and experiments using robotic and automated test systems
Develop Python and C++ scripts to automate data collection, device control, and analysis
Analyze experimental data using statistical methods to ensure accuracy, precision, and reliability
Design custom lab fixtures and tooling using SolidWorks, including parts for 3D printing and machining
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to communicate results and improve systems
Continuously improve lab processes, test efficiency, and data quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Optical Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field (Master's preferred or equivalent experience)
5–7+ years of hands-on experience in experimental labs or hardware testing
Strong programming experience in Python and C++
Practical experience with CAD tools (SolidWorks) for designing fixtures and lab components
Proven experience running physical experiments, developing tooling, and generating high-quality data
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and own lab operations end-to-end
Preferred
Experience with computer vision, camera systems, or depth sensing technologies
Familiarity with Lidar, sensors, or imaging systems
Prior work on AR/VR, robotics, or advanced hardware platforms
Experience with robotic or automated test systems
