Responsibilities
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of relevant exempt experience
Master's Degree and 3 years of relevant professional experience
Ph.D. and 0 years of experience
Newport News Shipbuilding requires a Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
Preferred
Having background in instrumentation and control system and/or any roles of designing/analyzing, testing, and implementing of network control systems
Experience in one or more of the following: Industry standards regarding design and verification of automation
Using software to develop model based system engineer and systems simulation
Program Logics Controllers (PLC)
Distribution Control Systems (DCS)
Network communication topology (Ethernet switches, Serial digital, and third party data link protocols)
Human Machine Interface (Remote and local control panels)
Basic understand of cyber security industrial standard for implementing in the control systems
Experience working on and leading technical projects
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
