Senior Executive Communications Consultant
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a Senior Executive Communications Consultant to join their executive communications team. Responsibilities
Serves as key support and communications partner on the executive communications team for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center
Provides strategic communications leadership, vision and direction across all three mission areas and strategic business goals with a specific focus on securing national reputation and thought leadership opportunities that advance key strategic priorities and drive engagement and reputation with internal and external audiences
Establishes and implements tactics to reach short and long-term goals and priorities to help the university and medical center achieve shared goals
Responsible for supporting the development, implementation and monitoring of internal and external communications plans and tactics
Communications responsibilities may include correspondence and enterprise-wide email distribution, print and web materials, event briefings, backgrounders, fact sheets, speeches, presentations and talking points
Works independently to execute key messages and themes as well as supporting evidence that advance the mission of the university and medical center for various constituencies
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications or related field
Minimum of 5 years professional experience, preferably in journalism or strategic communications
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Presentation and negotiation skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Demonstrated superior organizational skills
Ability to manage diverse projects
Thrives in fast-paced, deadline driven environment
Adapts quickly and easily to shifting priorities and continuous change
Demonstrates discretion regarding highly confidential matters
Highly professional demeanor
Possesses superior organizational ability

Availability to work after-hours upon request
