Field Service Engineer
LECO is a family-owned company that has been a leader in the development and production of laboratory instruments for over 80 years. The Field Service Engineer will work remotely, providing maintenance, repairs, and training on analytical and metallographic instrumentation at customer locations, with extensive travel required.

Responsibilities
Provide preventive/general maintenance, breakdown repair, troubleshooting and corrective actions to analytical and metallographic instrumentation
Perform new instrumentation installations as well as updates and upgrade kit installations
Provide training on theory, operation, software, and good maintenance practices
Ensure the work above is performed in accordance with LECO’s ISO accreditation
Qualification
Required
Self-motivated with strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
Adhere to customer's site and safety requirements while conducting yourself in a professional manner
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Attend instrumentation training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan for a period of 3-5 months
Complete field service training with experienced field service engineers throughout the country
Attend annual service training at LECO Corporation in St. Joseph, Michigan
Ability to travel daily with up to four overnight hotel stays per week (Monday – Friday)
Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Pass a background check and substance abuse screenings
Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction
Should have a personal credit card, or the ability to obtain one
Strong mechanical skills, and previous experience with AC and DC electronics, or the ability to learn
Two Year Technical Degree or Trade School
Prior Military with training in a technical field
Equivalent work experience or training in a technical field
Preferred
Chemistry or military background is advantageous, but not required
