Responsibilities

Extract and develop software requirements from system-level documentation
Define and document functional software specifications
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to gather and prioritize requirements
Ensure alignment between requirements, testing procedures, and release goals
Evaluate tools for software requirements management and traceability
Convert software requirements into structured models using industry-standard modeling tools
Maintain linkage between requirements, models, and validation activities
Continuously improve the requirements engineering process for quality and efficiency

Required

5+ years of experience in software or systems requirements engineering
Bachelor's degree in a related engineering or technical discipline
Proficiency with widely used requirements management platforms
Experience deriving software requirements from higher-level specifications
Familiarity with model-based design methodologies and collaboration platforms
Knowledge of regulated or standards-driven development environments
Eligibility to obtain a federal-level security clearance
Exposure to simulation or hardware/software integration environments
Hands-on experience with diagnostic or lab instrumentation
Background working in distributed or multinational engineering teams

Preferred

Advanced technical degree
Fluency in an additional language is a plus
