Senior Satellite GNC Engineer, Amazon Leo
Amazon is a leading technology company, and they are seeking a Senior Satellite GNC Engineer to join their Amazon Leo team. This role involves designing and analyzing control systems and algorithms for their satellite network, contributing to the development and integration of satellite systems, and ensuring operational excellence as the constellation evolves.

Responsibilities
Design and analyze algorithms for estimation, flight control, and precise pointing using linear methods and simulation
Develop and apply models and simulations, with various levels of fidelity, of the satellite and our constellation
Component level environmental testing, functional and performance checkout, subsystem integration, satellite integration, and in space operations
Manage the spacecraft constellation as it grows and evolves
Continuously improve our ability to serve customers by maximizing payload operations time
Develop autonomy for Fault Detection and Isolation on board the spacecraft
Qualification
Required
PhD, or Master's degree and 5+ years of quantitative field research experience
Experience with Java, C++, or other programming language, as well as with R, MATLAB, Python, or an equivalent scripting language
Experience developing guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for aerospace systems
Preferred
Experience converting research studies into tangible real-world changes
Experience with discrete and continuous optimization methodologies and algorithms
Experience developing guidance, navigation, and control algorithms for spacecraft
