Responsibilities

Leads and supports daily production activities to ensure Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) objectives are achieved
Performs and oversees production assembly operations ranging from repetitive to non-repetitive tasks in accordance with approved standard work and procedures
Works from and ensures adherence to visual management tools, method layouts, diagrams, schematics, process flow sheets, and written or verbal work instructions
Sets up and maintains initial work layouts and confirms required tools, materials, and documentation are available prior to production start
Provides real-time guidance, coaching, and technical support to team members during assembly operations to ensure adherence to standard work
Conducts in-process and final verification checks to ensure product continuity, workmanship, and compliance with specifications
Performs or coordinates quality inspections on the production line in accordance with quality system requirements
Actively utilizes the Medtronic Performance System (MPS) to identify, communicate, and escalate safety, quality, delivery, and cost issues through Tier 1 meetings and to higher tiers as required
Leads and participates in Tier 1 MPS processes, including issue identification, escalation, action tracking, and verification of closure in alignment with escalation standards
Identifies abnormalities and escalates deviations from standard work using established escalation pathways
Supports problem-solving activities using Lean tools such as root cause analysis, containment actions, and corrective action follow-up
Supports rework, modification, disassembly, reassembly, and testing of product, including experimental or prototype builds, per specifications and controlled conditions
Ensures accuracy and completeness of production documentation, including batch records, traceability, and required system transactions
Participates in continuous improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, process stabilization, and standardization efforts
Assists with training, onboarding, and certification of team members to ensure competency and readiness

Required

Requires advanced knowledge within a specific discipline typically gained through broad work experience and/or education
Requires minimum of 8 years of experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience
