Responsibilities
Prepares, examines, and analyzes inventory transactions, accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Analyze shrink trends and costs and establish appropriate shrink reserves based on trend analysis
Develops, maintains, and analyzes budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
Develops, implements, modifies, and documents record-keeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
Performs various account reconciliations for inventory accounts; analyzes budgets, and prepares periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs
Establish and assign entries to proper accounts in the General Ledger
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
5+ years of accounting or finance experience
Previous experience in month-end close processes
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to prepare and process journal entries
Preferred
CPA designation preferred
Sarbanes Oxley compliance experience desired
Lawson Software experience plus
