The Executive Director will focus on strategic leadership, educational design, business operations, and development and marketing efforts.

Responsibilities
Development and evolution of a vision-based strategic plan, ensuring alignment of programs, operations, and resource development with the organization’s mission
Curriculum/program design and innovation, faculty recruitment and development, performance production
Business and facilities management, finance/accounting, HR and team leadership, procurement, and vendor management
Fundraising, grant writing, marketing and student recruitment and retention, community outreach and partnership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Arts Management, Music, or Liberal Arts; master's degree in a related field preferred; doctorate a bonus
7+ years of experience in a senior leadership role in business or non-profit sector, preferably in the arts or music education
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and media relations
Effective relationship development skills and ability to engage and interact with a wide variety of people from a wide variety of backgrounds, including students and parents, faculty, donors, and board members
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and core business software (e.g., Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace)
Demonstrated experience in the effective leadership in strategic planning, curriculum development, operations, and fundraising
Demonstrated commitment to accessible music education and student enrichment in a diverse community setting, aligning with CMS's mission and values
