Responsibilities
Preparing and filing permit applications
Tracking permit progress
Communicating with clients and preparing status reports
Communicating with regulatory agencies
Coordinating with Drafting & Design personnel to prepare permit plans and exhibits
Researching and providing environmental and regulatory guidance on federal (USACE), state (Conservation & Energy), and local laws to ensure compliance
Supporting team members with project permitting at federal, state, and local levels
Researching and mining data from Strategic Online Natural Resources Information System (SONRIS) data portal
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in Environmental Science or related field
Knowledge of Conservation & Energy regulations related to oil/gas exploration and production
Knowledge of Section 404 of the Clean Water Act and Section 10 of the Rivers and Harbors Act
Familiarity with USACE wetland delineation process and Threated & Endangered species habitat assessments
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good problem-solving skills
Ability to travel; may require occasional overnight stays
Preferred
Minimum of three (3) years of directly related industry experience is preferred
