Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, evaluate, and implement integrated systems for managing human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics, material flow, cost analysis, production coordination, and fleet readiness support
Apply statistical methods, including statistical process control and mathematical analysis to maximize the efficiency of integrated support teams managing warehousing, maintenance, repair, kitting, and distribution operations
Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve performance problems, maximize process accuracy and reliability, and minimize costs while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
Analyze production processes, costs, and methods for maximizing efficient production and distribution of Field Protective Masks (FPMs), Individual Protective Equipment (IPE), and other life support materiel
Implement Total Quality Management principles (e.g., Crosby Zero Defect) and continuous improvement processes for warehouse operations, preventative maintenance, inspection, and equipment refurbishment activities
Evaluate and optimize material flow, packaging operations, kitting processes, and distribution systems to support fleet readiness requirements across CONUS and OCONUS locations
Conduct time and motion studies, develop performance metrics, and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and productivity at the FCSF
Support quality assurance activities, including implementation of quality control plans, inspection procedures, audit protocols, and documentation of results, to ensure compliance with contract specifications and Navy standards
Collaborate with warehouse operations, quality assurance, and logistics teams to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and improve throughput while maintaining quality standards

Required

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering
5+ years of engineering experience in a production environment (manufacturing, warehouse, depot, or distribution operations)
Knowledge of production processes, costs, statistical process control, and methods for maximizing efficient production and distribution of materiel
Experience with ISO 9001 or similar quality management system and Total Quality Management (e.g., Crosby Zero Defect, Lean Six Sigma)
Ability to conduct time and motion studies, develop performance metrics, and implement process improvement methodologies
SECRET security clearance (active preferred) or eligibility to obtain
U.S. citizenship required

Preferred

Knowledge of warehouse operations, material flow optimization, and process improvement methodologies
Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt certification), Kaizen, or other continuous improvement frameworks
Familiarity with defense depot, arsenal, or government production facility operations
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software, simulation modeling, or operations research tools
Knowledge of MIL-STD specifications, defense manufacturing standards, or government quality requirements
Experience optimizing preventative maintenance operations, inspection processes, or equipment refurbishment workflows
Background in aerospace manufacturing, defense production, or military depot maintenance operations
