PPG Informatics Specialist

Responsibilities

Work with providers, clinical and other staff to optimize usage of EHR through education and implementation of optimal build and/or workflow improvements
Provide education and support in accordance with organization goals, act as liaison on behalf of provider/clinical EHR needs and implement ongoing tactics for knowledge sustainment
Understand all workflows impacting providers and have a basic understanding of build requirements for the EHR and associated 3rd party applications
Responsible for project planning and collaborate with providers, co-workers, leaders, I/S and other pertinent departments throughout the health system
Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in application functionality or workflow processes related to electronic health record

Required

Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree in nursing, informatics, healthcare or related field; or the equivalent of 8 years of experience in a comparable job
Must obtain credentials as Epic Credentialed Trainer in relevant EHR modules
Minimum requirement of 4 years experience in clinical/healthcare setting
Demonstrates clinical understanding in physician practices as well as industry trends/regulations
Ability to understand and address process requirements
Skilled at problem solving, organization, strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to understand complex issues
Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal, with providers, co-workers, executives, technical teams, end users or any other stakeholder
Proven ability to perform multiple priorities and work effectively in an ever-changing and fast paced environment

Preferred

Direct clinical ambulatory/practice experience preferred
EHR experience preferred
Experience with Lean preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of EHR and data analytics preferred
