Responsibilities

Create CAD models and engineering drawings of products and tools with dimension schemes using GD&T

Collaborate with engineering team to develop new products to design specifications, industry and military standards, design for manufacturing concepts, and continuous improvement objectives

Independently design tooling solutions for the efficient manufacture of traveling wave tubes and electronics

Lead assigned design projects by proactively collecting required information and using sound judgment to make decisions with minimal oversight

Make drawing/model changes authorized by Engineering Change Notices

Required

Associate's degree and a minimum of 6 years relevant experience, OR bachelor's degree and minimum 4 years relevant experience, OR graduate degree and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be used in lieu of education

Advanced experience with enterprise level CAD software (e.g., Creo, Siemens NX, CATIA) a must

Proficient in the use of GD&T to layout dimension schemes, including but not limited to thoughtful datum feature application, hole pattern true positions with modifiers, MMB, runout, flatness, profile and parallelism applications, among others required

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required

Strong verbal and written communication skills required
