Accounts Receivable/Collection Specialist

Applied Textiles is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable/Collections Specialist to join their finance team. In this role, you will manage incoming payments, maintain accurate financial records, and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities

Processing daily Accounts Receivable (A/R) statements and reports with computer programs
Utilize financial software, including Great Plains Dynamics, for efficient record-keeping and reporting
Managing weekly revenue and maintaining detailed reports of client payments
Resolving account discrepancies including misapplied payments and incorrect invoices
Manage past due aging report
Processing specific financial forms (e.g., tax forms, inventory/supplies order forms, etc.)
Establishing and maintaining confidential employer and business files
Maintaining financial documents using an organized filing system as instructed electronically or non-electronically
Producing and preparing daily, weekly, monthly financial statements/reports for Manager
Verifying transactions comply with financial policies and procedures established by the Company
Upholding professionalism by providing courteous customer service to visitors, clients, and vendors
Performing other duties as assigned

Required

At least three (3) years Accounts Receivable (A/R) and/or collections experience
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered
General understanding of accounting practices and principles
Experience with automated accounting programs and systems, particularly Great Plains Dynamics
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
Proficiency in credit analysis techniques and tools
Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material
Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial data
Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Must be organized and able to manage high volume email
Must be driven and motivated
Ability to commute to Byron Center, MI 49315

Preferred

Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting
