Law Practice
Responsibilities
Conducting evidentiary hearings, depositions, and trials
Meeting with clients to discuss discovery and negotiate pleas
Communicating with prosecutors, judges, and court representatives
Participating in docket calls in state and municipal courts
Performing legal investigations and preparing documents
Handling consultations with leads and assisting in signing them up
Attending legal proceedings, carrying out legal analysis, and providing legal advice with the help of experienced lawyers
Collaborating with clients and colleagues to reach resolution of cases
Analyzing disputes in legal issues, counseling clients on solutions, and negotiating on behalf of clients
Managing case files by ensuring that the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
Qualification
Required
Possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Be a licensed attorney in the state of Missouri
Possesses strong typing and technology skills
Proficient in computer skills and technology, including Word, Excel, database software, and Outlook
Demonstrate excellent organizational and follow-up skills
Be an effective communicator in both oral and written form
Showcase great time management and problem-solving capabilities
Be able to work well alone as well as be part of a team
Professional demeanor and excellent people skills
Exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and discretion
Have satisfactory results in relevant assessments
Be a self-reliant individual who thrives on learning and obtaining the best results for clients
Possess a 'growth mindset' and be open to utilizing technology
