Sr. Product Manager
Doppler is a developer-first secrets management platform that enables engineers and security teams to securely store their secrets across any cloud infrastructure or deployment environment at scale. As the Senior Product Manager, you will partner with the CEO to lead the strategy and development of Doppler’s core product, addressing challenges faced by engineering teams and expanding the product offering for developers.
Responsibilities
Take full ownership of features from inception to launch, crafting product specifications, collaborating with design and engineering, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and making judicious product decisions while keeping the company informed of insights and developments. You will iterate post-launch using quantitative and qualitative data
Strategize and prioritize initiatives to concentrate efforts on high-value activities that resonate with our product strategy
Collaborate closely with teams and leadership to sculpt the overarching product strategy and delineate a forward-thinking roadmap
Work hand-in-hand with engineering and design to translate customer problems into clear product direction, aligned plans, and shipped outcomes
Deeply understand the Secrets Management and Identity space, identifying areas of opportunity through research and data
Engage regularly with customers, internal teams, and partners to unearth new insights, subsequently transforming these into well-defined, actionable plans
Balance out the priorities of our customers with the long-term direction of the product
Analyze, comprehend, and enhance critical success metrics, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
QA new features before they ship to make sure they meet requirements and are ready for production
Embrace a developer-centric, security-first approach in all endeavors, laying the foundation for a product that stands synonymous with trust and quality
Write and maintain clean, detailed tickets and product documentation in tools like Linear and Notion
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 5+ years of product management within the DevOps tool sector, showcasing a rich history of strategizing and executing successful products
Demonstrated ability to distill broad themes and substantial ideas into a structured roadmap of features and research initiatives, requiring minimal guidance and displaying a keen eye for detail
Experience architecting platforms with strong inoperability between products
Familiarity with tools like Linear, Notion, Posthog, and Figma
A proven track record of delivering tangible results that benefit both users and the business, substantiating your ability to drive successful outcomes
Demonstrated expertise in segmenting projects into phased releases for iterative development, measuring impact, and determining the viability of further investment
Acumen to set and attain strategic goals, adapting product strategy in line with research, data, and industry trends within a dynamic and innovative setting
Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling you to articulate the rationale behind decisions clearly and effectively, whether it be customer presentations or drafting feature specifications with partners
A data-informed approach to product management, showcasing deep comprehension of product functionalities and the ability to gauge long-term impact
Proven ability to inspire individuals across various job functions, fostering a collaborative working environment where your influence catalyzes progress and efficiency
Strategic mindset that accommodates both macro and micro perspectives, adept at crafting a roadmap encompassing significant milestones and incremental victories
Practical experience utilizing tools such as Linear and Notion, streamlining processes
A humble approach to knowledge gaps, unafraid to say 'I don't know', and embrace opportunities for growth and learning
Preferred
Familiarity with identity-based authentication frameworks and OpenID Connect (OIDC) is considered a significant plus, enhancing your capacity to contribute to specialized product functionalities
A foundational understanding of SQL is a plus
