SG Performance Engineering Manager

The SG Performance Engineering Manager will oversee engineering activities, ensure compliance with standards, and develop team members while engaging with clients to foster strong relationships.
Responsibilities
Ensures effective performance on moderately complex to complex engineering assignments
Plans and directs the timely execution of engineering activities within assigned cost center(s)
Ensures projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies, objectives and customer standards
Develops and/or administers organization engineering standards and procedures for the group
Provides goals, objectives and standards of performance for assigned team members
Ensures development and training of team members to optimize task results
Works interactively with customers and clients to develop strong relationships
Researches and assesses best practices, proposing methods and improvements
Works on special projects, as directed
Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies
Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree (4 years) in Engineering
Minimum of 10 years of related experience
Professional Engineering License (P. Eng.)
Advanced knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria
Excellent communication skills with ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, management and customers as required
Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships; work collaboratively within a team environment
Advanced problem identification and problem resolution skills
Demonstrated leadership ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through subordinates
Strong analytical ability and problem identification/problem resolution skills
Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills
