Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and oversees MEP related activities throughout all phases of pre-construction
Manages of team of 15+ engineers to ensure their design and quality is code compliant, follows the client requirements, budget, and schedule
Communicates with clients on a regular basis
Applies applicable codes and standards to all MEP systems for all projects
Conducts inspections and site surveys for existing conditions
50% REMOTE; 50% at client
Qualification
Required
5+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Strong understanding of the NEC, local, state, and international building codes
AutoCAD a MUST. (to check drawings, drafting is performed outside the US)
Experience with HVAC systems in large multi-family and commercial buildings
Must be able to perform local field visits in the NYC area
MUST have experience with NYC Dept. of Environmental Protection
MUST have experience with the NYC Department of Buildings
Strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, etc
Preferred
Commissioning experience desired
Certified Energy Manager certification would be a PLUS
Engineering degree required. (BSME preferred.)
