Southeastern Freight Lines is seeking a Junior Software Developer to join their development team. The role involves learning the codebase, fixing bugs, participating in paired programming, and collaborating with other developers on application creation.

Learning the codebase

Working on small bug fixes

Participating in paired programming with mid-level and senior developers

Attending and contributing to development team meetings

Troubleshooting and patching computer code

Collaborating with other developers to create applications

Performing program maintenance, modifications, and enhancements to new/existing systems through programming, testing, documenting, and training users under senior guidance

Conferencing with user personnel and department representatives in resolving questions of program/system intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and inclusion of internal checks and controls under senior guidance

Responsible for learning Company systems and how they are automated

Providing on-call programming support

Providing integration testing support to internal and external customers

Communicating and working as needed with any internal/external customers in conjunction with a senior developer, engineer, lead, or manager

Ensuring adherence to the Company’s analysis and development standards

Following development team defined analysis and development best practices
