Responsibilities

Adhere to all safety requirements, including proper use of PPE, conducting area inspections, identifying hazards, and performing pre-operational equipment checks

Report and address identified hazards, document equipment deficiencies, and submit work requests in SAP

Execute tasks within the mining cycle to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous salt mining operations

Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor

Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship

Must be 18 years or older

Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)

Must be able and willing to perform with or without reasonable accommodation: working underground (up to 1800 feet), which involves bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, twisting, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds

Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions, which may include working underground (up to 1800 feet), heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), which may include a harness in some circumstances

Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice

High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of equivalent work experience

Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment

Ability to get a routine background check and Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) 'Explosives Possessor' background check: To ensure a safe working environment for all employees, we will conduct a criminal background check
