The National Student Clearinghouse is a leading provider of higher education data and services. The Procurement Analyst supports day-to-day procurement activities by ensuring efficient processing of purchase orders and liaising with vendors, while also assisting with vendor spend analysis and supplier performance monitoring.

Responsibilities

Support the organization through the purchase requisition/order process to ensure accuracy of required information so vendor processing and invoice payment are not delayed, and purchase orders reflect agreed upon pricing and terms

Ensure purchase requisitions/orders support 3-way match principles and internal policies

Assist Accounts Payable with any invoice discrepancies

Administer T&E and Purchase Card programs along with authorization criteria

Liaise with vendors to obtain quotes, pricing, timing of delivery and compliant vendor records

Support contract compliance and monitor timing of renewals

Coordinate maintenance of third-party purchase-to-pay application and vendor records

Support Procurement Director with vendor spend analysis and performance monitoring

Support Procurement Director in updating and maintaining corporate policies related to the procurement process

Support Procurement Director in maintaining a preferred vendor list

Demonstrate openness to new perspectives and ideas

Build trust with internal and external stakeholders

Suggest and implement improvements to the procurement process to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and streamline workflows

Required

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. A combination of education and experience including military service will also be considered

3 years procurement, purchasing, or related fields such as sourcing, vendor management, and contract administration

Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to manage competing priorities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Attention to detail and accuracy; strong analytical skills

Proficient in Excel and MS office

Experience with ERP's and purchase-to-pay applications, specifically RAMP AP Automation and Sage Intacct

Demonstrated skills in negotiation, cost analysis, compliance, and supplier relationship management

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and successfully on a team able to coordinate activities across various functional areas within the Clearinghouse

Facilitate problem solving, and resolution

Demonstrates a professional, positive, and personable demeanor

Must live within a commutable distance to Herndon, VA or in one of the Clearinghouse's approved States for hiring purposes

Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred

Ability to interpret contract terms and conditions

Experience with software licensing, SaaS and hosting agreements

Understanding of market trends and sourcing best practices
