Responsibilities

Produce a broad suite of technical communications products including technical manual content, reports, procedures, plans, posters, and other related materials with excellence and urgency. Meet the documentation needs of internal and external customers

Lead, manage and coach team of technical writers and document specialists

Develop and maintain operating procedures for the Documentation and Word Processing departments

Assign projects, review quality, coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage documentation workflows across the organization

Monitor and report progress on projects and maintain adherence to schedules

Perform the duties as additional senior technical writer for overflow documents

Research and stay current on evolving methodology and approaches for producing organizational documentation

Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance

Expert-level proofreader

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks

Working-level expertise of standard Microsoft applications: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Visio; knowledge of photo, video, and PDF editing; and Techsmith Snagit
