Responsibilities
Collaborate with Sales, Solution Consulting, and Product teams as a strategic technical leader - shaping solution feasibility, influencing the product roadmap, and making informed decisions to drive successful sales cycles across new business, upsell opportunities, and platform-centric use cases
Have a deep understanding and experience designing transaction processing and data solutions to operate at large scale — that is, at high throughput with burstable and unpredictable traffic patterns while maintaining low latency and availability with the highest service levels
In partnership with Account Executives, drive customers need discovery and design solution architectures that leverage the App Platform, APIs, and event-driven integrations
Showcase Chargebee’s extensibility capabilities—including the App Platform, SDKs, webhooks, and developer tools—in a clear, value-oriented manner to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Translate customer integration and extensibility needs into scalable solution blueprints
Lead the technical response to RFPs and compliance, security and data protection/privacy assessments related to platform architecture, scalability, and extensibility
Develop and continually maintain a library of best practices and standard configuration templates to streamline solution demonstration and implementation
Provide feedback to Product on emerging extensibility, scalability and availability requirements and contribute to platform roadmap alignment
Partner with architecture and engineering leads to stay ahead of evolving technical trends and use case patterns
Contribute to shaping Chargebee’s future App Platform roadmap based on market trends and customer feedback
Collaborate with GTM Enablement to deliver training modules on objection handling and positioning Chargebee’s extensibility with competitive clarity
Act as the subject matter expert and principal author of materials related to scalability, availability, reliability, and privacy/security/compliance for use throughout the sales lifecycle
Build reusable enablement material: diagrams, objection handling guides, and platform walkthroughs
Qualification
Required
12+ years of experience in technical consulting, pre-sales, or solution architecture roles within SaaS or platform-focused companies, with a strong track record of designing cloud-native solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
Significant technical experience designing transaction processing solutions built for high throughput and low latency within service-oriented architectures
Strong understanding of modern architecture paradigms: APIs, microservices, serverless computing, and integration frameworks
Cloud-Native Architecture: Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes
Experience working with or enabling developer platforms (SDKs, APIs, custom integrations, webhooks)
Ability to simplify technical concepts and tailor communication for executive, business, and technical audiences
Excellent presentation, solution storytelling, and client engagement skills
Preferred
Big Data Experience: Successfully worked with systems handling large data volumes
Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF
Understanding of legacy system architectures and ability to bridge them with modern platform integrations
Up-to-date understanding of enterprise security, privacy/data protection and domain compliance requirements
Experience with Data platforms, including Data Governance, Data Quality, MDM, Lineage, Data Catalog, etc
Familiarity with subscription commerce, billing platforms, or workflow automation tools
