Associate Director for Training

Responsibilities
Responsible for the administration and oversight of the APA accredited Health Service Psychology doctoral internship training program including recruitment, selection, onboarding, program policies and procedures, and evaluation of progress for three interns annually
Plan and schedule all training activities, including supervisor assignments, seminars, exposure areas, and clinical supervision as needed
Maintain documentation required for APA accreditation, including a detailed program self-study, and attend the annual ACCTA conference
Assist with oversight of operations to ensure high-quality mental health services
Contribute to policy development, strategic planning, resource allocation, staff development, and budget management
Serve as a resource for clinicians for crisis intervention and clinical consultation
Manage a clinical caseload of students presenting with a broad range of psychological concerns and diagnoses
Provide triage assessments during drop-in and short-term evidence based, individual and group counseling
Manage crisis situations, conduct risk assessments, and facilitate hospitalizations as needed
Provide after-hours emergency coverage for 3 - 4 weeks per calendar year
Collaborate with campus partners to design psychoeducational programming for students and the campus on mental health topics
Maintain professional licensure and engage in ongoing professional development in college student mental health
Participates as an integral member of the Division of Student Affairs and Student Health and Wellness team and provides consultation to members of the University community related to student mental health and well-being
Qualification
Required
Doctorate in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from an APA Accredited program and completed APA Accredited Internship
Licensed or license eligible in the State of Indiana as a Health Service Provider in Psychology
Experience providing clinical supervision and managing training initiatives for novice clinicians in a multidisciplinary team setting
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role and to prioritize and manage multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Demonstrated expertise in crisis response, risk assessment, and evidence-based treatment
Experience providing culturally responsive treatment to a diverse client population
Strong organizational skills, follow through, and the ability to work independently in a responsible manner are all essential skills for this position, as well as a solid understanding of professional boundaries and ethics
