Responsibilities

Develop new customer sales

Use various prospecting methods to generate new leads and solicit freight

Build and maintain long-term customer relationships and encourage account growth

Provide cost-effective logistics solutions that retain customers

Manage brokerage and customer service aspects of assigned shipments/accounts

Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal teams

Assist customers with pricing, operations, and payment-related inquiries

Handle spot pricing and negotiate carrier rates

Support operations staff and internal departments

Conduct on-site customer visits as needed

Work closely with transportation coordinators to support brokering and provide feedback

Engage in carrier negotiations, spot pricing, RFPs (Request for Pricing), and RFIs (Request for Information)
