Qualification
Required
Completion of secondary education, supplemented by relevant technical/military/police courses and/or university courses in a relevant discipline
Local Security Assistant (LSA) certification and or Security Certification Program (SCP) certification is an asset
A bachelor's degree from a recognized academic institution in political sciences, security, risk management or other relevant fields may be considered as equivalent to three years of Security Risk Management professional experience
A master's degree may be considered as equivalent to an additional two years of related professional experience
A minimum of 6 years of progressively responsible experience in a security related environment is required, preferably 2 of which are within the UN system
Fluency in Arabic and English is required
Knowledge of another official UN language (Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset

Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts
