Responsibilities

8+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, systems engineering, or software engineering within complex, high-availability environments

Experience within the financial services domain (experience within Capital Markets or Securities Finance is nice to have)

Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS

Expertise in Kubernetes, container orchestration, and distributed systems

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or Go for automation and system optimization

Experience building observability capabilities using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or similar platforms

Demonstrated capability in capacity planning, scalability modelling, and system performance analysis

Strong background in incident response, structured root-cause analysis, and preventative remediation

Experience supporting large-scale systems within financial services or similarly regulated and high-throughput environments

Understanding of security, compliance, and resilience principles relevant to financial technology platforms

Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate risks and implement forward-looking operational improvements
