Responsibilities

Assist in developing P&IDs and control narratives for entire processes

Investigate root causes of production issues using equipment observation, operator and mechanic input, and process data

Construct and test hypotheses through structured trials, analyzing results and presenting findings and recommended permanent solutions

Scope, budget, and conduct cost-benefit analyses for proposed solutions; request funding and coordinate implementation

Identify and specify instrumentation needs as part of process improvements

Oversee installation, startup, commissioning, and optimization of solutions to ensure performance targets are met

Collaborate with production, maintenance, and contractor teams to ensure successful project execution

Participate in daily production meetings, weekly department meetings, monthly shift meetings, and annual safety training

Develop technical documentation and reports, and maintain accurate records of trials and changes

Occasionally travel for technical training and professional development opportunities

Required

Four-year Engineering degree from an accredited university

Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing experience

Proficient in AutoCAD and technical writing

Demonstrated ability to work with all levels of the organization and manage tasks independently

Strong mechanical intuition and analytical problem-solving skills

Preferred

Experience with MS Visio, Minitab, SQL Server Management Studio

Familiarity with Cognex Vision Systems, SAP, Siemens Step7 and TIA Portal, VFDs, DeltaV, and AVEVA System Platform
