NQCP Engineer on Silicon Quantum Emitters
The University of Copenhagen is establishing a cutting-edge quantum programme through the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme. The NQCP Engineer will focus on developing components and methods for high-fidelity control of spin-photon systems in quantum emitters in silicon and interface them with optical circuits.
Research
Responsibilities
Taking a leading role in integrating SNSPDs into our photonic circuits and establishing the electrical control circuit
Taking a leading role in consolidating and maintaining collaborative effort with the University of Chicago
Structuring the efforts on multiple projects, integrate experimental results in the database, and provide feedback to collaborating teams
Procurement, maintenance, and operation of scientific equipment
Qualification
Required
PhD in experimental physics, engineering, nanotechnologies, or related
Experience with experimental quantum photonics, quantum emitters, electronics, and cryogenic systems
Experience with simulating integrated optical systems with COMSOL, Lumerical, or similar
Experience with control software and data logging – preferably in python
Good communication skills and a structured approach to work
