VP, Delivery Management

Responsibilities
Develop and execute the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Delivery Management organization, in alignment with the CTO and overall company objectives
Define, implement, and govern the product development lifecycle (PDLC) and project management methodologies (e.g., Disciplined Agile, Kanban). Establish standards for planning, execution, risk / dependency management, and reporting
Define, implement and govern the portfolio management process for the major programs that ladder up to the corporate annual plans / budget and lead critical, enterprise-wide programs that drive strategic business outcomes. Ensure investments are in alignment with business objectives and that we measure / transparently report on the efficacy of value delivery, adherence to budget, adherence to standards and commitments to timelines
Build, lead, and mentor a team of Project Managers and Delivery Managers. Foster a culture of excellence, ownership, and continuous learning. Set clear goals and provide regular performance feedback
Engage with the executive team as part of a regular cadence of portfolio reviews, roadmap planning and annual planning. Provide clear, consistent, and accurate reporting on project status, risks, and dependencies to senior stakeholders, steering committees and external partners
Partner closely with leaders in Engineering, Product, Design, and leaders of the business units to ensure seamless execution and alignment on priorities and timelines across all initiatives
Proactively identify and mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and manage dependencies across multiple projects, teams, and integration efforts
Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for delivery effectiveness, such as cycle time, velocity, budget variance, and on-time delivery rates. Use data to drive improvements and inform strategic decisions
Oversee capacity planning, and resource allocation to ensure optimal use of talent and resources across the technology portfolio
Lead the technology due diligence process for potential acquisitions, assessing target companies' technology stacks, architecture, engineering talent, and delivery processes. Partner with Corporate Development, Finance, HR, and other executive leaders throughout the M&A lifecycle to provide technical insights and risk analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
12+ years of experience in technical project/program management, with a proven track record of delivering complex software development projects and large-scale enterprise programs
5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role (e.g., Director, Sr. Director, VP) managing a team of project/program managers
Experience in leading technology workstreams for M&A activities, including both due diligence and post-merger integration
Deep expertise in Agile and Scrum methodologies
Exceptional leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team
Strong business and financial acumen, with a clear understanding of the M&A lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate high-level goals into actionable plans
Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization, from engineers to C-suite
Proficiency with modern project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar platforms
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
Ability to work in an environment that aligns with the company's diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging standards
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Preferred
A Master's degree or MBA is a plus
Certification (e.g PMP, CSM SAFe) is highly desirable
